As a prospective speaker at the conference, there are a few things you should know about the way the event is set up that can help you design your presentation.
Transformational Outcomes
The event is intended to bring about a transformation in the lives of participants. In other words, we want them to experience a clear difference between “before” and ” after”. One they can see, touch and feel.
Who are our attendees?
Most hail from the English-speaking Caribbean and have a strong link to the region, either past or present. They are HR, L&D and IR practitioners who work in companies, or as consultants and coaches. Our registrations have averaged approximately 1,500 people in past conferences.
According to global research from the Academy to Innovate HR (AIHR), the modern HR Practitioner needs the most development in Data Literacy and Digital Proficiency. (Their clear strength is People Advocacy.)
Many find this news alarming, and personally confronting. They want to become better, but in the Caribbean there are few opportunities to reverse the above scores.
As a result of their conference participation, we want them to move from being slow to adapt analytic and digital tools, to a place where they have overcome initial fears and know where to start.
To accomplish this task, we have narrowed down the the scope of this year’s conference to the following theme.
HR Analytics: Transforming Companies for a Digital Future
We welcome speaking and presentation proposals that help us make progress towards these objectives.
We suggest the following areas of focus which will help us organize content for participants to find. Under each area we offer an example of possible topics, but don’t be limited by this list as long as your topic relates to the overall theme of the conference:
- Digital Transformation – change management
- Digital Transformation strategy
- HR Strategic Thinking
- Digital Proficiency
- People Analytics / Data Literacy
- Gamification
- Skills Mapping
- Employee Value Proposition
- HR Department of One
- Metrics for Hybrid Workplaces
Plus any other topic you think may contribute to our overall theme.
The truth is, we are trying to prepare the average HR Professional in the Caribbean for a future that’s already arrived in other parts of the world. Join us in our mission to equip our colleagues with hard-to-acquire capabilities. That’s the best way to know that a transformation has taken place!
Given the objective, we expect most of the conference content to be introductory – meant for newcomers to the topic.
Journey
Behind the scenes, we are designing the conference to be a journey that takes participants from Day 1 to Day 3. In summary, they start by looking for a few tips and tricks but by the end, see that new way of thinking is required.
To help them traverse this path, we are providing aids along the way, including a printed Workbook they receive before the event starts.
Furthermore, we realize that transformation is a process, so we welcome proposals that include some continuity of activity via the CaribHRForum Community platform, beyond the conference dates.
Agenda
Their journey translates into the following outline of sessions/speaking events shown below.

We have two speaking opportunities.
- Pre-recorded webinar-style videos are available on-demand during the conference.
- Live Panels and speakers will be scheduled around specific topics.
In addition to preparing a pre-recorded webinar style presentation, you are also invited to apply to do a live panels with our participants. For these and other optional elements, check out the speaker’s application form linked below.
Other Non-Speaking Opportunities
If you decide that speaking at the conference in 2022 is not an opportunity you want to pursue, there are other possible potential avenues to pursue. One is to attend the event in a private capacity, as a learner.
Another is to offer training or coaching to participants once the event is over, via the CaribHRForum platform. This community is already the largest and most active of its kind and will continue indefinitely. If you are interested in offering training in the future, contact Francis here.
Apply
If you have a good idea of what your topic should address, Apply to speak here. The form takes about 15 minutes to complete.
